Moychi POS ("the app") is a point-of-sale tool for auto oil-change and parts shops. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's used.
When you create an account, we collect your phone number and a password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see or store your password in plain text). Your role (owner or employee) and account status are also stored.
The app stores the data your shop enters to operate: product catalog, stock levels and stock movements, sales and receipts, and staff shift records. This data belongs to your store and is only visible to accounts belonging to that store.
The app requests camera access solely to scan product barcodes. The camera feed is processed on your device to decode the barcode; no image or video is stored, uploaded, or sent anywhere.
If you choose to link a Telegram account (used only for password-reset codes), we store the resulting Telegram chat ID. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without linking Telegram, except for the forgot-password flow, which requires it. We use the Telegram Bot API only to deliver password-reset codes to the chat you linked; we don't use Telegram for anything else.
Your account and business data are retained as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and its data, contact us using the details below.
